Roc Nation

by | Oct 17, 2020

Roc Nation was founded by Jay-Z in 2008 and is now currently owned by Live Nation. The company itself is comprised of many different branches, housing a record label, talent agency, philanthropy, school, apparel, touring, and concert production company. Roc Nation wants their artists such as Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Meek Mill, to rise to their fullest potential. They are a full-service organization, supporting the diverse roster through artist management, music publishing, touring, production, and strategic brand development.

One of Roc Nation’s newest components is a school. Roc Nation purchased the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment at LIIU Brooklyn. This school will provide unique insights and experiences for those entering the entertainment industry.

The Roc Nation school is starting enrollment for Fall 2021, promising that 25% of the freshman will receive a Roc Nation Hope Scholarship, which would grant all Hope Scholars no student debt after college.
